The Coachhouse, seen from the gardenThe Coachhouse is a beautiful B&B in a peaceful, green setting; minutes from the city centre of Bath.
It offers independent access for guests, children are welcome and
one-night stays are not a problem for us. It is situated within the garden of the Summer House and is entirely private.

Two double bedrooms; one en-suite, the other with separate private bathroom. The larger room has original stonework and exposed rafters; measuring 20ftx14ft it can be a romantic retreat or become a generous sized family room. The other room is smaller but pretty and traditional in style. Both rooms have garden views.

Breakfast
Homemade bread or brioche, fresh each morning, and homemade jams and jellies, fresh fruit salad, muesli and yoghourt; fresh coffee, assorted teas and continental drinking chocolate. Gluten free bread made on request. The independent nature of the Coachhouse means that those guests who wish to rise late may breakfast at their leisure.
History
The Coachhouse dates from the 1840’s and was used to stable horse and coach for Bathwick Grange, situated on Bathwick Hill, below North Road. It is now used for family and guests to The Summer House, which was built in 1928 for a Lady who lived on the Royal Crescent and purchased the land so that she could have a retreat from the heat and bustle of the city in the summer!
Situation
North Road is a short walk from the University of Bath, a five minute drive from Bath Clinic and from the city itself, which is a pleasant 20 minute walk downhill on foot and a short bus ride up again on the number 18; the 'big orange bus'.
